Do scheduled listings not automatically get saved ?

Sorry if it's a stupid question .. I'm a novice and just found out that scheduled listings do not automatically get saved. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, otherwise advise is much appreciated !

Unless it has changed during the past week, listed items do get saved. They may not appear in the saved folder until after they become active on eBay. Best thing is just to check and see.
