I haven't used Auctiva in a while and things have changed here. When I go to make a listing the area for shipping dimensions, weight, etc is colored in and I can't access that part. I can't fill in the information for shipping. Does Auctiva work with Canada Post? I can set shipping stuff if I work right on ebay. .... i'm sooo confused.

Hi,

I ran a quick test by selecting the ebay.ca site (page top). I selected "Calculated" and all the Canada Post methods were in the drop-down list. I selected "Canada Post Expedited Parcel" and the gray dimension boxes turn white for entry. In checking, any of the 5 Canada Post methods selected would allow entry of dimensions.

From past experience, I do believe at least one qualifying service-method must be selected with calculated.....that combo drives the calculated use for listing and checkout.

Hope that helps.

Hi newcomer,

Yep, I encountered the problem too, so did a check of how they are evaluating the entry and found this expression test:

="^[A-Za-z][\d][A-Za-z][ ][\d][A-Za-z][\d]$"

What that boils down to is a simple pattern check to see if the 1st digit is alpha, followed by number followed by alpha folowed by SPACE followed by number...alpha...number.

So, I checked Montreal's City Hall at h2y 1c6 and it PASSED! It also passed with UPPER CASE alphas.

Use a blank between the the first three and last three digits, which is the standard (from my days of Canada shipments). Wink Try that...

Hmmmmm..... Confused

OK...Let's try step-by-step.

1. I used Create New under Listings Tab.

2. At page top I selected Canada for eBay Site.

3. In Shipping Tools section, I selected Calculated Shipping in the Domestic group...and the grayed-out Dimensions boxes immediately appeared.

4. I then selected "Canada Post Expedited Parcel" for the 1st Domestic Shipping Services ....and....
the Dimension boxes turned white and are now fillable (and tested to make sure of same). And, that repeats my prior trial.

OK....that was with IE8, so (to eliminate browser bug) I repeated with Firefox and got exactly the same result.

Is there a difference with Trial? Hopefully NOT. Confused Still puzzeled.

Ohhhhh ... Gottit Danno!!! I have to select the Shipping Service first - then the package dimensions area changes to white and I can enter the sizes. Ohhhhhh yeah .... easy peasy!!! My brain worked only from up to down. So ... it does work with the free trial and it does work with 'create new listing' as well as the 'create similar listing'. I thank you thank you for your help Smile
