Does ebay allow updating description, with Variation listings?

Thanks for contributing to our forum. I initially reviewed the page on the eBay help index (link below) which details their revisions on revising listings and came away thinking that it would only be possible to add to the description, as opposed to change the existing description, once a sale has been made.

However, I then posted a multi variation listing through my own account as a test and discovered that I was permitted to change the existing description after a sale had been made so it does appear this is possible for multi variation listings after all - or at least it was for me.

I hope this helps. Perhaps another member of our community who has more experience with these types of revisions will be able to provide you with an answer that is based on more than my test case.

I do multi-variations, and IF I am 99.9% sure you can, I am pretty sure I have done this before. I am in process of updating all of my listings so do not have any sold multi variations listed to check right now.

Also, I did check on a Multiple Quantity that I had sold some of and I could change description in that.
