I am sure I have seen it somewhere the cost of an auction after it has closed. But have looked all over eBay and Auctiva recently and cannot find it at all.
Am I imagining it, does it exist?

eBay has a completed listings search that's invaluable for research. Type in your search keyword at eBay, when the results come up scroll part way down, on the left side there's a box with different options. Check the "Show completed listings" box, and re-search.
Thanks for your suggestion. It did not take me to where I wanted to go, but in the process of trying I found what I wanted.
If you start with My eBay, click on My Account. In the next window under the heading 'Balance:' click on 'fees' and that gives you a break down of all the listing costs for each auction
