Magie, you seem like a really nice person. Very kind and filled with a strong faith in human nature. It's just that your vision of how the world works reminds me of the business plan for the "Good Vibes Alfalfa Sprout and Custom Bong Cooperative, Inc. est. 1967." It is wishing on a star. But, of course, that doesn't mean I don't hope "your dreams come tru-u-u-u-u-e!"

I know better than to try to re-orient someone whose faith is that strong. A. It takes too much time. B. They wouldn't pay me. C. Some people just want to drink the Kool-Aid. D. What would I do if they turned out to be right? -- So instead, here's hoping that "fate steps in and sees you thro-o-o-ough..."

Hehehe, you always have a backup. Currently, I don't use Auctiva - yet. Besides, I didn't write Auctiva's business plan, they did. I think it's a pretty savvy concept. I dunno, I make .90 every time I use insurance on a sale. Eventually, instead of making insurance mandatory, I just raised my shipping price and began promoting my shipping as 'including both insurance and delivery confirmation'. Most items I ship cost $3.85 and by the time all is said and done, I make $2.75 per sold item on shipping. That's all while giving the customer insurance up to $100 and delivery confirmation. They're happy and I'm happy.

Now, this is just little old me. Not big Auctiva. I don't have any other alliances with other businesses like Sellathon. I just took my rosey outlook and sought an insurance policy on my own. Imagine that, lol.

I dunno, I think Auctiva has a neat idea. Although, I'm sure they'll eventually charge a monthly service charge. Hey, why not? They have their alliances set up and are making money. Yet still have customers who are concerned about the sky falling, who are willing to pay for their 'free' service. Why not, double dip and generate income two fold? Hey, Auctiva Jeff go for it, lol.

The Capt. wants to pay you a monthly fee. Why not, let em'? Then he/she feels better, you make 'more' income and the sky doesn't fall. Sounds like an even better business plan to me.

Now, I'm back to my alpha spout and Kool-Aid lifestyle.

Cheers!

Yum - fruit punch! Ya, gotta love it.

Well, like I said, I'd be more than happy to pay for a service. I really don't care how Auctiva makes money, that is their perogative and not mine. Mine is to make money for myself. So, that said, I'd be more than happy to pay for GOOD service-with guaranteed uptime. That seems to be the hiccup today.

Wait, well, take into account the messages over the last week. Besides the failing uploads for pictures, storewindow failures, offtime, upgrading, Auctivas lacking checkout features....Seems there are quite a few bugs that need to be worked out. I sing the praises for Auctiva, I like the format and ease of working with the program, but----some basic things need to be recitified before I'd actually pay for it. Seems I am paying for it now. Old sayings do hold true...
