When this happens, the best thing to do, instead of cancelling the duplicate. Is to do another listing on Auctiva, then grab the html code and revise one of the dups on eBay.

I've launched/scheduled numerous listings from here/other sites, never had a duplicate.

Others(not necessarily you) have had dups, when they clicked more than once -slow connection- hanging up of open window- thinking it didn't go thru.
I set up about six auctions and scheduled them for 9:30 AM. Then, I decided to add one more for the day and posted it immediately. It was after 9:30 and the other ones that I had scheduled hadn't posted yet, so I checked the boxes for them and hit the "post now" button. Later, when I checked back, I saw that those six auctions were double-posted. I had to cancel the extra 6 listings at my expense. Now, I know this doesn't happen at Vendio, because I've done the exact same thing there, so I have to think it's an Auctiva programming issue. By the way, I do like Auctiva much more than Vendio and have never had a problem like this before. Too bad I'm out the listing costs on 6 auctions, though.
