I'm all for putting out regulations to stop people from selling stolen items of eBay.
I don't think asking people for proof of purhcase if they sell more than $12,000 in 12 months is the right way to do this.
I know I tend to buy items at garage sales, salvation army, thrift stores, etc.. Saving the receipts is not a hard thing to do from here on out. But what about the items I have already bought and don't have a receipt for.
Also how do I get a receipt from a grage sale?
I really don't know what can be done to prove ownership for high priced items. This is where the difficulty comes. I must admit this is an option. But not an option I would go with.
