If eBay would just leave well enough alone, They wouldn't be having problems.I was planning on becoming a seller until I saw how restrictive and expensive eBay has become. They hit sellers with listing and final value charges. Then pay pal his you with fees when you start making money on a regular basis. Then they start restricting how buyers are losing the ability to pay in a way that both buyers and sellers are comfortable with. Then they direct you to other sites that are all linked to PayPal and eBay. How many people know that PayPal and eBay are connected to each other I believe they are the same company with different names. The new financial links look to be connected in the same way.To make matters worse They are increasing the fee's charged for using those sites only make eBay rich.If someone did their homework they would find Illegal activity between them. They say it's for our protection, but the truth is they want to monopolize the money flow. I love shopping on eBay but Have to restrict how much I spend because the sellers have no choice but jack up their starting fees or charge a handling fee.I have spent nearly $1000 on gas for my truck just to go pick up the purchase. Instead of rewards for spending $3000, They can give points for each purchase with the number of points balance on the dollar value of the purchase. Then assign a dollar value to the points which are credited to the buyer or sellers pay pal account. Several of my favorite sellers have left eBay and with my line of work They were very valuable to me.I am thankful that some of them wrote down my information and have stayed in contact with me. Basically they should have left well enough alone. I sort of agree with the feed back policies, but they should take a more active roll in the rebuttals and check them out. I have only 1 negative feed back on my history. That was the result of a seller submitting an incorrect invoice, returning my payment , refused my attempts to remedy the issue then reported ma as a non payer.I had repeatedly attempted to find out what was up with no response. Ebay refused to take action on my behalf even though they knew that I had paid once already. They should address problem issues with the site instead of changing a good thing. There are a ton of things they can do without chasing people away. Why should sellers have to pay 3 or more fees every time they list something. They should charge a one time fee based based on the number of items they list.Well enough said, I'm sure you get the Idea.
eBay might consider the novel approach of actually rewarding its sellers for a change since, after all, it's those individuals who make the bulk of the money and keep the site running? Since last May, more and more seller's rights have been taken away; with the increase in non-paying bidders being shameful: my having had more within the past year than I had my first six years of selling on eBay! It's generally safe to say any 'new improvement' eBay announces will be a major setback; but, knowing several sellers who finally gave up in pure frustration, it sure would be nice to have eBay wake up and smell the roses, as opposed to keep spreading more and more fertilizer!
