I spoke to ebay earleir today and they said as long as you have selected a "TYPE" in the item specific box, then the auctiva generated listing will be accepted by ebay and will be put in the right "leaf category"

ie: if you are listing a womans t-shirt, you need to select t-shirt in the item specifics and ebay will list it as a "t-shirt" in the new sub-categories

The listings I have done today via Auctiva seem to be fine, but any re-lists through ebay have to be manually changed to include these new sub-categories.

Hope that helps a bit.
I will have to try that later tonight with a couple of listings,I just tried to list 20 items through blackthorne and it denied all of them till I changed them(which I can bulk do in about 2 seconds)

They had the same item specifics as auctiva has(cause I created them in auctiva) but list mostly with blackthorne after they end from auctiva.

Sorry Scott I spoke too soon as of 5pm UK time my listing are now failing with the following error message from Auctiva...

"API Error - The category selected is not a leaf category."

So much for the info I was given earlier today!!!

I have logged a complaint with Auctiva just now and it looks like we can't list in the amended categories until Auctiva add the new sub-cats (leaf categories)
Update - My first listing did say that ebay had changed the specifics but it is a auctiva issue not ebay. My second listing was in the same specifics and it worked fine. However the return policy is completely gone in my first two saved listings. This also is a auctiva issue. This isnt the first time this has happened so it was easy to figure out were it was coming from.
Just had this back from Auctiva:

"Hello,

Thanks for contacting us regarding this matter.

I would like to let you know that we are currently working on updating the eBay category structure. When this update is complete all the listings categories in Auctiva should match those of eBay.

We apologize for any inconveniences this issue is causing. In the mean time, if there is anything further I can do to assist you, please don't hesitate to ask!

Sincerely,
Auctiva Support"

I have asked WHEN they will be done, but I haven't had a reply yet Frown
