Auctiva pulls me in, says create a custom domain for my store, I spend the money and time to set it up, put the link in my ebay auctions and then get my auctions PULLED because of the link to my Auctiva store which GOES RIGHT TO MY EBAY STORE. False and misleading advertising by Auctiva here. Read the descriptions that suck you in. Drive more traffic to your Ebay store - customize!

Auctiva makes it appear that they are part of ebay when they are NOT. They are a 3rd party endorsed by ebay. I complained loudly to ebay and showed my customer service rep how misleading the auctiva ads are.

Dear Karen,

I'm sorry to hear you had this experience. Links to your Auctiva.com store actually should be allowed in your eBay auctions since it only displays your items that are available for sale on eBay. It sounds like the eBay employee that removed your listings pulled them in error due to a misinterpretation of the site you were linking to.

There is a link to each seller’s Auctiva.com store in the bottom right corner of every Auctiva scrolling gallery and it has never presented a problem, so this is definitely something that you should be able to do.

That being said, I have seen a couple instances over the years in which eBay has removed listings for having the URL to an Auctiva.com store in the descriptions. While such a link should be allowed based on eBay’s “Links Policy”, they recommended creating a text link that redirects to the Auctiva.com store URL instead of just entering the URL to avoid the possibility of this happening.

If you would like to create a link that says “Click here to view my other eBay items” that links to your Auctiva.com store domain, you would need to do the following within the Auctiva description editor:

1) Type “Click here to view my other eBay items” in the Standard version of the description editor
2) Highlight that text with your cursor and click the “Insert/Edit” link button on the editor toolbar, which has an icon of a globe and chain link on it
3) Enter your Auctiva.com store URL in the “URL” field on the ensuing pop up window and click “OK”

I hope this helps.

-Mike
