Ebay Final Value Fee Refund can I get it?

Hi All, I have sold some items on eBay but unfortunately when I have collected them from my suppler they are heavily damaged. In the spirit of fair and good eBaying I am happy to supply a full refund to my client. But is there any way I can claim my eBay final value fee back for the goods? Would I go about this with opening a dispute but I have a problem with this as I don’t have a dispute with my client so I don’t want to get them involved if possible. What can I do if anything?

Hi Mathew,

You'll need to use the Unpaid Item Process after refund and select either "agreed not to complete the transaction" or "returned for refund", which don't effect buyer's rating (not unpaid strike). Here's the ebay page with instructions:
