Hi ChooChooGuy.
It's when the image is resized (I think!).
I've tried various sizes in jpg format.
I sell watches with the face being the main selling point.
When the image shows, the numbers etc look staggered.
I was wondering if there is a specific resolution or size that has to be used.
Every other picture is great - just the header.
Thanks for replying.

Curious, eBay only resize images down and never up.

I do find on a slower PC that the header image shown top left of the listing is distorted until my PC has caught up and resized it correctly. Usually the main version of it lower down is usually ok.

At what resolution do you upload your jpg format images, I prefer to send them at the maximum I want them to be shown and no larger as it is quicker.

If it is just the numbers that are staggered it may be a photographic effect, I find my logo for my eBay shop looks 'dirty' when displayed in my eBay World but the original is clean on my PC.

Unfortunately .jpg format is lossey, i.e. it leaves out some information during compression to minimise the file size. If your pictures are taken at too high a resolution and then subsequently reduced on eBay colour distortion can occur. If taken in a better format (usually with an expensive camera) then do all the resizing before it becomes a jpg format file.

I hope this helps rather than confuses, I have always used a cheap camera with macro mode and with a little experimenting get good clear results Smile
