Below is an excerpt from an eBay email received today. I know there are other ways to "self-host" pictures so I'm hoping Auctiva isn't affected. I normally don't use "Sell Your Item" function unless Auctiva is down & I can't wait. So maybe 3rd party listing services like Auctiva aren't included in this. Just call me confused! ;-)

Replies from Auctiva users who are more experienced about what this might mean would be appreciated. Also if any Auctiva staff knows, that would be very helpful to hear direct from Auctiva.

From eBay: "We're writing today to let you know that in early May, eBay will be removing the Self-hosting function for images in the Sell Your Item (or SYI) flow.

As a seller who has taken advantage of this function in the past, we recommend that you take advantage of a similar offering—the Copy Web Files function—which allows you to utilize up to 12 web-hosted images for free (excluding Motors Vehicles listings)." end eBay quote.

Hi Bev5 (& Others),

Thanks for contributing to our forum. We are aware that eBay will be removing the Self Hosted option from their Sell your Item form next month and, fortunately, this particular change should not have any impact on your ability to post listings through Auctiva.

I hope this helps put your mind at ease. If you need any further assistance with your account, please feel free to contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the “Help” tab and selecting the “File Support Case” option.

Hello, Mike!

Thanks a lot for your response. That's one less aggravating ebay thing to deal with as a seller!
