i'm listing through auctiva and selecting store catagories; when i check the listing... it's being listed as "other"... why is this happening???

I'm having the same problem. It began on Wednesday morning or early afternoon. I am only allowed the option of selecting my top-level eBay store categories (Books, Antiques, Movies, etc.) and cannot place items into specific store categories within the top-level categories. Then, once the item is actually posted, it shows up in the "Other" category in my eBay store. I believe, but I can't be certain, that this all began happening on Wednesday after I updated my eBay store categories by going into My Account, then going into eBay Settings, then clicking on Update Store Categories From EBay. Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks, Todd
I'm having the exact same problem as you, GrayRabbit. I've logged a support request, but still nothing. Everything was fine until I tried to update my store categories. Hope someone can fix this issue very soon...I'm running a huge sale right now and am not able to list crucial new items. HURRY, HURRY AUCTIVA!
Also, I've gone into a few of my saved listings and notice that both of my store category dropdowns are now defaulting to "not an eBay store item." I hope this doesn't mean that I will need to correct each of my 600 listings!

Thanks for everyone's help in bringing this issue to our attention. We did not implement any changes to our site yesterday so we are uncertain what has caused this change of behavior, however, our engineering department is currently investigating what needs to be done to resolve this problem.
I will post again to this thread when additional information on this issue becomes available to me.

This issue has been resolved. If you click the "Ebay Settings" link under the "My Account" tab within your account, and then click the "Update Store Categories from eBay" link, all of your eBay store categories will be available on the Auctiva lister page once again.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Everyone's patience with regard to this matter has been greatly appreciated.
