Hello! After sucessfully posting 7 items on ebay, I used the same template und tried to post an 8th and got this error:

eBay has not posted your item due to title, description, and/or eBay policy violation. Please contact Auctiva support for more information on why your listing has failed to post.

Any thoughts before I email my problem into the Auctiva ether?! Thanks

Hi, I too have had this error message come up. I think I may go back to Turbo Lister, I never had any problems with listing.

eBay has not posted your item due to title, description, and/or eBay policy violation. Please contact Auctiva support for more information on why your listing has failed to post.

I was trying to list an XBOX with games, taken from the drop down lists/options. Mad

The TOLL FREE number isn't for the UK iether!!! Confused
Gorescraft,
An XBOX could be considered a fraud item, any electronics for that matter. Their denial for posting is very random. OR if you've posted 10 of them for instance they may limit you after that. The wording of the error is not something I've ever seen Auctiva use, but certainly HAVE seen ebay use Smile
Although if you put a help request in to Auctiva they can find out what the problem is...
Thanks for helping member-8880.
I put in a help request and within 5 mins they had resolved my problem.
For Babiesinmind- I mailed Auctiva and told them the problem /error message also my item title. This is what they emailed me back: Confused

Thank you for choosing eBay.

Due to the level of disputed transactions in the category in which you are choosing to list, eBay is taking strong measures to protect both buyers and sellers on eBay.

To sell your item in this category you must offer PayPal as the only payment method. Please sign up for a PayPal account if you do not already have one. Big Grin

So the long and short of it is....try opting for 'paypal only' as a means of accepting payment. I did this and my item listed with no problems.
Thanks again 8880.

I listed 20+ items today and a bit later received notification from ebay that 2 of my listings were removed because they violated the "No Teacher Edition" rule. Not entirely unexpected, I must admit, though I don't agree with their rule. Especially given the fact that the items were HOMESCHOOLING materials, thus any person teaching their students at home are entitled to buy and use these items. But ebay doesn't really take a close look at the listings they yank, they just do it. Roll Eyes Now I guess I'll have to remove the teacher guide out of the listings and sell that elsewhere. Guess ebay doesn't need the few bucks they'd get from me when these items sell Big Grin Aggrevating, though....
Thanks all. It looks as if it might have something to do with the fact I am selling original Emporio Armani items! I decided to list these first as they will hopefully make the most amount of monies but when I tried to list the 8th item, the error occured. I then tried to post myself on ebay (rather than using auctiva) but got a similar message. Before yesterday, I have only purchased on ebay (not sold) so perhaps they have checks in place .....?? I also can't find my items on the search but they show in myebay and I can find using the item number .. not good if I want people to see :-) I have emailed ebay help now ... so watch this space!
I don't know if this will help anyone or not, it was archived in thr Ebay announcements for Jan 2007--some seller requirements, including the Paypal thing:

babiesinmind--it also sounds as if your being limited, which is a normall process for Ebay. You are a new seller and you're selling a relatively expensive item..is it watches or jewelry by chance? They seem to keep an eye out in those categories. Since this is your first time selling I'm surprised you got to list as many as you did Smile Try listing something else and leave the Armani stuff go for another couple of days, then try again.
Good luck!

eBay takes down a lot of items that shouldn't be, but it's based on what other members turn in as well as the bots they have monitoring the posts.

In this case, being a new seller, and in a high fraud section, I can see that it may not have posted.

For others that have legitimate items removed, I have dealt with this several times because the items I sell are targeted by other sellers to try to keep me from listing the same items they sell at lower prices. USE that reply link in your item removal notices and explain why you think your item should not have been removed.

90% of my items that were removed that should not have been were "reinstated" by eBay. In other words, they made them available in my 'unsold items' area where I could re-list them, and also gave back my original listing fees as well as taking the offense off of my e-bay account.

Sadly the other 10% were items I just didn't think before I listed and really shouldn't have been on eBay to start with.

Good luck with all the new 'features' eBay is putting in... some good, Some.... well.....
