I read a post last night mentioning eCrate. I checked it out, but it doesn't really offer much information before you sign-up.

Anyone here use eCrater?

I want to know if there are any hidden fees, major issues, and what your experiences with it were like. Thanks in advance for taking the time...

I DO!

I have several stores and they are ALL successful!

Check my website link out.
http://www.southernjewel.com/

When you get to that site, you'll see my links on the left hand side. Those point to a few of my ecrater stores. (Ill be working on an oscommerce store, I hope)

There are no hidden fees, no major issues that I know of and I've had stores there since last spring.

My experience has been positive.

The only problem I have is that Dimitri, the owner, just instigated a feedback process.

What I don't like about that system is the feedback link is on the Paypal receipt for feedback to be left right then and there.

This opens the door for fraud for the seller and more. This is discussed on the eBay Store Discussions in full by many ecrater store owners. I'll try to find the link tomorrow and link it.

But besides that..I'm pleased with ecrater. The site feeds to Froogle/Google and your listings are in the Google seen with others.

Best of all? No fee's to eBay.

Good luck and if you need me, email me.

What's to consider?

It's FREE Big Grin

I love the clean, professional look of eCrater. I purchased a few domains and have them FW to eCrater. I offer all my eBay customers 10% off if they go to eCrater next time.

One thing to remember is that eCrater is like having your own website and not like an auction site. You need to get the customers there!
SUBMIT SUBMIT SUBMIT

And everyone once in awhile just for the heck of it resubmit to the search engines.

From what I've ascertained Froogle/Google should be updating every time you place a new item in your store....but I can't be certain so don't go by me.

Just work on getting those stores search engine friendly and search engine optimized.

Start Submitting!

I am impressed with my placement in Google, my RAM is showing up at the very top!! Can't complain there. Only a matter of time, I suspect.

Did you get my order & payment day before yesterday from the ecrater store?

Name of the store plays a HUGE part in search engine optimization.

Be sure to go the extra mile and continue to submit to search engines.

Good Luck, Donna

SmileYeah, thanks so much!! I sent it Friday afternoon before I left town (had a little weekend get-away)
Anyway, thanks, again...much appreciated!

I have a "thang" bout Sunflowers and couldn't resist. Right now, I'm using the mouse pad that eBay sent me as a "gift" for making Powerseller and it's seen better days. (plus I received a calculator & bumper stickers for bringing more business their way...wait that sounded sarcastic..didn't it?)

Thanks!
I'm sure it will be here any day now.
Peace,
Donna
