Another newbie to Auctiva. I've searched through the forums but can't locate any topic dealing with this so if someone can help be grateful.

Imported all my listings nicely, shop categories done too. Now I would like to edit the active imported listings and add templates and postage & shipping details etc but can't locate how/where to do this without re-creating them all as new listings. I seem to be going around in circles clicking tabs! When in imported active listings folder there is a revise tab but that revises the listing on ebay and doesn't allow me to edit the actual listing to be more professional and better looking.

thanks anyone!

i never could find a direct way to do it.

what i ended up doing was editing an item on ebay (editing the description of an item, that is) and then view the html for the description, copy it, and then came back here and made a custom template from the html from description.

then set up a master profile to use with that template under the profiles tab.

after doing that, all i have to do is create a listing using the profile, edit the description (i put in main part of description that i reuse over and over in profile), select the pic, set the price, and click the launch button.
argghhh thats such a long way round and doesn't it mean cancelling the existing listing each time so that you can create the new listing and thereby incurring more fees?

Thanks for your replies, I'm sure there's got to be an easier way to do it, Auctiva seem to have everything else covered, can't imagine editing the existing imported listings isn't possible.

Don't want to have to end everything and relist! will take me till Easter! Cheers chaps
Donna's close to it but I don't have the proper answer either.

Isn't the "Get HTML" button on the description editor? I think you edit one to your liking and then get the HTML, take it over to eBay and edit active listings that way (without having to close them).

Actually, if you search the forums for "get html" you'll probably find the answer. I've read it many times and yet it still hasn't sunk in for me, sorry (although that's mostly because I haven't needed to do it just yet).
4gothsdotcom,

There is a way to do this, although it involves recreating your listings in Auctiva. Here's what you'll need to do for each listing:

1) Recreate the listing in Auctiva and save
2) Go to your saved listings page, check the box next to the item, and click the "Get HTML" button.
3) Select and copy the html in the pop up window.
4) View the listing from your My Ebay page and click "Revise Your Item"
5) Click "Edit Description" then click the "Enter Your Own HTML" tab on the editor.
6) Paste the copied html in place of the existing html. The copied html contains the template, images, and description.

I hope this helps=)
