I know sometimes there can be issues related to the visual location of your curser (as you see it) and the actual location (as your computer or a particular website see's it). For example on my Yahoo Instant Messenger, I have to place my curser above the "minimize" square to actually click on it. If you have your mouse set up to enable text when hovering, you can insure you are actually where you want to be by reading the helpful text or for shadowing of the icon. Another method is to look at the bottom frame on the left side of your window...as you hover over different icons you may see the information related to that icon appear in text along the lower left frame of current window. I don't know if this makes sense, but it was physically shown to me by a "techy", when I was having very simular probs with my Yahoo pages. I wasn't able to get the prob corrected by Yahoo, but was able to overcome and "live " with it by just modifying how I click on certain things. It's now second-nature.
Best of luck !
