Hi, no matter what I try I keep getting the following message on error checking.

Reserve price invalid. Minimum is £50.

I only just signed up with Auctiva after finding that TL2 is a pile of rubbish and have so far managed to list about 20 items on BIN with no trouble at all.
Now I am trying to list a low value auction item with a start price of £1 and a reserve of £5 but no matter what I change I continue to get the error message. I have of course checked that I am not entering anything wrong in the fields for the reserve, and have tried several different figures with no change.

Can anybody help with this? thanks.

Hi,

I think I've figured-out your problem. Here's a quote from ebay UK on fees and link.

"On eBay.co.uk, sellers who wish to use a reserve price must set the reserve price to be equal to or greater than £50.00. Sellers are not permitted to set a reserve price level of less than £50.00."

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/fees.html

Also, Reserve Fees are no longer refundable.

Edit: Hmmmm....now that makes me wonder if listing "It" on the US site and cross-promotion visibility fee to show it on UK is a better option. Confused That's not what I'd have recommended just a few months ago, but....

Pretty poor really, effectively it means that no items of a value of less than £50 can have a reserve so items that fit that price bracket will have to have a higher starting price instead of starting low to attract bidders.

It's been a £50 minimum for at least 4 years possibly longer
