Error - Description is required.

That error normally occurs as a validation failure for ERROR CHECK when the Item Description section of the one-page lister is blank.

yep, seems obvious, only it's not blank, and it's pretty much identical to two other listings that are fine, only change is some numeric digits here and there (price, shipping and size).

That's interesting....

If you manually make a small change to the Description section, like add a word of text, does it then pass the ERROR CHECK?

Oh...and which OS and browser are you using?

windows XP, firefox 3.
I tried adding a line of text at the top above the HTML table and other stuff but I get the same error.

Are you using the Orange ISP in the UK and do you have a 3rd party router you're using to access them?

Isp is 'Talk Talk' Broadband, router is netgear.

Try the same ERROR CHECK using the Windows IE browser for a test.

I'm going to see if I can locate any MTU setup restrictions for "TALK TALK".

Have you noticed any problems viewing pictures at eBay or Auctiva?

same problem in IE on my laptop.
all other listings (11 live at the moment) work fine.
Image viewing is fine on eBay and Auctiva.

Have you set the MTU size for your Router to 1432, per TALK TALK Help Desk FAQ?

solved it, only taken me a whole day, somewhere deep in the HTML something must have been amiss, I went back to the basic template I use for listings and rebuilt all of the items in that class, all listings cleared and re-scheduled for tomorrow night.

Hmmmm.....or the reduced MTU in combination with cache refresh or page change caused it to clear.

I'm assuming the Router default was set at 1500, which is default for Ethernet. Incorrect MTU can cause alot of very odd problems due to data loss.

So, Orange and Talk Talk both use a lower than usual 1500 MTU. Well, I'm starting a list.
