ERROR in "Item Specifics" - ugh!

I looked at one of your Saved Listings (for a vacuum cleaner) and you do have "used" selected from the drop-down menu where it says "Choose Item Specifics" (in addition to the Custom Item Specifics you have filled in.) Once you de-select the Item Specifics (just click the Clear button,) it should post just fine.

Yes, and that happens to be my 'unfinished' listing. I do not have that scheduled yet, since it has the incorrect shipping information, etc.

I don't see why something ASKS me if it's used or new if I can't use it. Ebay says we HAVE TO select one or the other. So why can't I select "used" AND have my specifics? I did on tons of other items that are currently listed. This is nothing but a PAIN!

so let me get this right. I can choose EITHER "item condition" OR "custom specifications", but not both? I hate this new tool! Constantly get errors!

Example:
eBay listing failed to pass validation for the following reason:
For the first selected category, both Item Specifics and Custom Item Specifics are specified. You can choose either of the two, but not both.

BUT I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE OPTION OF "NEW OR USED" ON THIS ITEM, AND I DON'T HAVE EBAY'S REGULAR ITEM SPECIFICS. THERE IS ONLY!!! CUSTOM SPECIFICS, SO I FILLED THAT IN. ONE CATEGORY. BUT IT WON'T LET ME LIST IT, SO I HAD TO TAKE OUT ALL!!! SPECIFICS. I GO THROUGH THIS EVERY SINGLE DAY, AND THEN AT NIGHT WHEN THEY GET LISTED I HAVE TO GO INTO EACH ITEM INDIVIDUALLY ON EBAY AND ADD THE SPECIFICS MANUALLY. SOMEONE AT AUCTIVA NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO PROGRAM THIER SOFTWARE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!

Womandi... my suggestion is to always use the CUSTOM SPECIFICS. (2nd box). Ebay is doing away with the Item specifics from what I have heard so if you use those eventually you will have to change them all anyway. You can't use both, so you as far as I know have to go in and remove the lst box with is item specifics in order to get 2nd one (custom) to work right. Hope that makes sense.

I know this does not completely help with your issue, but may save you time later.

WOW!!! Sorry to have offered a suggestion in attempt to try to help a little bit, (the categories I list in still have both) obviously I did not fully comprehend what you are asking. Sorry to have bothered you, after re-reading I realized you were venting rather than asking for possible solutions. I should have realized that by all of the CAPS used.
