I have created and saved three listing but when I try to post them I get an error message that says "The following 3 listing(s) were unable to post because they did not pass validation and need to be edited before posting." Auctiva's help area says that it is because eBay is not accepting them, but eBay says contact Auctiva, because they have no control over it. What should I do?

Hi cest_tres_chic,

This type of error message is indicative that your listings are unable to be posted because they are missing required information. When an item fails to be posted because it is rejected by eBay, Auctiva will say the item is posting, but an API error will eventually be returned on your "Scheduled Listings" and "Events(red)" pages.

I reviewed the three saved listings in your Auctiva account that had not been posted and found that the aforementioned error is being returned because you neglected to fill in the "zip code" field in the "Checkout Options" section. Once you have filled in this field in each of these listings, you will be able to post them successfully.

Thanks Mike. The reason I did not put the zip code in is because I am from Canada, so I only have a postal code, which it won't accept. I checked US as the country the top, because I want the listing to go onto the US eBay site, not Canada, where it will get much more traffic. I created another listing, where I checked US for the eBay site and I didn't put any zip code in and it got listed just fine. Maybe I am missing something else in my listing. I'm not sure. Thanks again.
Hi cest_tres_chic,

When you are listing to the eBay Canada site, instead of using the zip code option, you can check the bubble next to "I Will Enter the Location", and then type your location into the adjacent field. You'll just need to use flat rate shipping if you configure your auction in this manner.

Hi again Mike. I have checked the bubble next to "I Will Enter the Location", and entered my location into that field. And I have used flat rate shipping, but I still get error "The following 3 listing(s) were unable to post because they did not pass validation and need to be edited before posting." when I tried to post them. They are identical in every way to another listing I have, which posted fine. I am at a loss!
