Any good tips on this? I haven't sold in awhile, but last time I did I got burnt on several auctions because I failed to correctly estimate not just the weight of the item, but also the final weight after proper packaging and boxing. They were all collectible dolls so they weren't that heavy but after packing weighed significantly more then I expected.

Yeah, that'd be my advice too.

Other ideas:
1) If you don't do a lot of combined shipping you could pack each item as you list it so you know exactly what the weight is (provided you buy a scale).
2) If your items generally require the same box size/amount of packing materials you could set up a dummy box and weigh it with each item you list.

I know exactly where you're coming from. I have a scale but still sometimes forget to account for extra packing materials, etc.
Thanks, I actually have one in the house but am currently unable to find it. (We really need to sell a lot of stuff!!!) I'll give it a better shot looking this weekend because I can tell that I already messed up on one of my first listings. Darn! Frown
