I have not been on Auctiva nor eBay for several months so I try my first listing (it took me hours since I'm a bit dusty). I've been a member of Auctiva for about 1 year however have just had my 12th birthday on ebay (would have gotten by me except that ebay sent me a birthday note)....My problem specifically is that my listing failed to list on ebay (twice) for the following error:

"Alert!

Starting September 2010, you will no longer be allowed to include the PowerSeller logo or references within your listing descriptions, listing templates, About Me pages, or Store pages. We will continue to reward our PowerSellers through benefits and Top-rated seller eligibility. However, the Top-rated seller badge will be the only icon to inform buyers about sellers providing great service and experiences on eBay"

The strangest thing is that I've NEVER been a Power Seller nor have I ever referred to it ANYWHERE (even when I used to have an ebay store). What the heck? This error screen tells me to contact ebay but I'm thinking after reading some of these posts that it's either Auctiva or perhaps my Firefox 5.0.1 browser (OS is Windows 7). I'm not a technical person however this error is extremely odd and I can't believe it's an ebay issue. Can someone give me some usefull advice? Pretty please? Thanks
Thanks so much.

Hi Groovietoyz,

I looked at the listing that had the error message and think I found the reason why eBay would not accept your listing. The phrase in your description that says "I am not a power seller with a ..." would have triggered the alert. Remove that and it should post fine.

On another note, you might want to remove the phrase "Buyer pays actual shipping and insurance fees." If it's been awhile for you selling on eBay you probably weren't aware that they made a policy that sellers can no longer ask buyers to pay for shipping insurance. You can say that something is insured, but cannot state that a buyer must pay for it.

Good luck!
