Miriam,

Thank you SO much. Thanks to the advice of several Ebay books & articles, I've been taking WAY too much time with my listings.

Your listings are simple, to the point, and, obviously, sell.

I'm trying to figure out how many times to relist something before I give up on it.

Thanks again for the fantastic advice & for pointing me to your website. It is saving me time already.

A girl can NEVER have too many shoes! Even if she has to buy them from other Ebay sellers.
Thanks for writing! I am new to the community section of Auctiva, so it took me a while to figure out how to sign up to respond to your questions.

I list about 30-50 new items per week. Most of these items are fixed price items. I list a lot of shoes, and most shoes do not sell well at auction. However, I always sell more if I run at least 30+ auctions per week. It's good to have both auction and fixed price listings to get more exposure.

I am planning to up my listing to 100 new items per week which really shouldn't be a problem. If I am listing products I am familiar with like shoes and coffee mugs, I can list about 8 items per hour. That includes taking pictures and listing. I have a coffee mug template. I also have a template for women's shoes and one for men's. That really saves me a lot of time. My biggest tip is to set a timer. This will keep you focused.

Packaging is another story. Make sure you have all of your packaging supplies ready to go. I get quite a few boxes from work, and I order the free boxes from the USPS. You might want to consider purchasing small boxes if you are going to be sending items using First Class (under 13 ounces). Otherwise, you will always be looking for those little boxes which really wastes time. In the last 31 days, I have sold 190 items. In order to ship that many items, you will probably be spending at least 2 hours a day packaging. Sign up for the free Stamps.com eBay account. That way you can print First Class International from home. No more going to the post office!

I usually list my items at around 5:30 in the evening so that they end when most people are home. If I am listing auctions, I run them for seven days and start them on a Sunday night. Some of the data I have looked at indicates that Monday night isn't a bad night either, and you probably have less competition.

Thanks for reading my article, and don't forget to check out my new blog post at The eBay Life Blog (bluefrogshoesblog.com or just Google "The eBay Life"). I posted it yesterday.

Have a great weekend!
