first class shipping not showing in ads

also, my non-auctiva ads are showing properly so i don't think its an ebay glitch.

should i provide more detailed info?

How much do your items weigh? International first class can not be used for anything over 4 pounds.

they are light, mostly CDs. when i go in to revise the ads the weight is set at 6 ozs and priority and first class international are options.

wow! that batch ended terribly. i had buyers underpay and some overpay shipping and even though i had international insurance set to required, none of the the international buyers paid it.

what is going on?
my DSRs are gonna be affected if this continues.

i still don't understand why calculing first class international shipping rates for destinations outside of USA does not work. domestic works fine and so does priority mail international, but not 1st international. i always get a bunch shipping rate questions from buyers outside of the USA. i've now posted close to a 1000 auctions using auctiva so i dont consider myself a newbie anymore. how do i fix this?

I've seen the problem when used in combination with Required Insurance.

eBay apparently can't "calculate" the amount on the basis of 1st Class International doesn't qualify (in eBay-think) for USPS postal insurance.

Solution: Use the Handling charge to add-on the Insurance for Required and use "Included in S&H" on the Insurance line for the one-page. That worked for the test case I did with a member, and the rate then appears as normal in the shipping table.

I don't know if a similar problem occurs for optional insurance.
