How do I get the font size & colour in the Description Editor to match that in my Seller Profile?
The Description Editor denotes the font size as 12, 14, 16, 18 etc yet the font size in the Seller Profile boxes is small, medium, large, larger etc.
Even if I select Automatic as the font colour in both sections, they don't match when previewing the complete template.
How do I simply get the whole template to have matching font size & colour from top to bottom?

Hi oldbaldrick,

Thanks for posting your question here. In order to make the font and size of the text in your description match that used in your Seller Details profile information, you should just need to set the text used in both places to the same font and size using the text editors for each.

Since you mentioned that the font options in the listing description editor do not match those available in the Seller Details editor, I assume you must have your account preferences set to use our newer editor called "Design Editor v2.0 (Beta)".

I'm not sure if there is anything about the new editor that would make you hesitant to switch back but, it is not possible to use the newer editor to create or edit your Seller Details profile, so the easiest way to get the results you described here would be to set your account preferences to use the older version of the editor once again. You would then see the same options in the “Font” menu when creating your descriptions as when editing your Seller Details profile.

Alternatively, you could do some testing to see which of the new font size designations in the new editor aligns with the font size you have specified in your Seller Details profile. For example, size 16 in the new editor looks very close to the size called “Medium” in the old editor but I can't tell for sure if it is an exact match.

I realize this is a less that ideal situation and I am going to suggest to our developers that they consider update the site to make it so the new version of the editor is used in the Seller Details Profile section as well when enabled in a user's account preferences.

For future reference, the “Automatic” option that is available in the Color menu on the editor can be used to make your text appear black in the editor but automatically convert to the default text color specified in the template if you are using a template that has a default text color chosen to contrast ideally with the background color.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance with your account, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the “Help” tab in your account and selecting the “File Support Case” option.
