Hi Community,
As most of you are probably already aware, eBay recently changed their policy on shipping insurance such that sellers are no longer permitted to offer shipping insurance as a paid add on to listings. We have already updated our software to align with this new policy and, if you have not already done so, I recommend checking out our new Auto-Purchase options by mousing over the “My Account” tab within your account and selecting the “Auctiva Shipping Ins” option under “Settings”.
These changes were implemented incrementally beginning on 9/22/09 and some insurance policies ended up getting generated in error on that day. In order to offset any erroneous charges that occurred as a result and make your transition to using our Auto-Purchase system easier, we are giving all users a 100% discount on all insurance policies purchased on 9/22/09.
Once these discounts have been applied over the next couple days, when you go to your “Account Activity” page, you should see $0.00 listed as the charge amount next to all insurance policies purchased on 9/22/09.
We wish you all the best with this transition!
-Mike
