gallery & Gallery Featured; whats the difference?

The short answer is MONEY...!

It costs .35 to list an item with Gallery, but it costs $19.95 to make an item a Gallery Featured listing.

Basically, Gallery Plus means that in the Category you choose, your item will show up at the top of that Category for the entire duration of the listing.

It might be worthwhile to use Gallery Featured if you are trying to sell multiple quantities of some item...or maybe if you are selling an expensive item that you want many people to see...

Like any of the eBay marketing tools (Bold, Outline) you have to weigh their costs versus the benefits...

options:

Bold = thicker letters ( i don't think that its worth paying more 4 this )

Highlight = purple surroundings, makes it more pretty & stands out, but dont think it has any effect

Border = more boxed in ( same as highlight )

Featured Plus!= i think that that is what u r talking about, that its gonna be double on page & for featured it comes on top off page

Gallery = shows pic in search results ( i find this good 2 use with more high priced items as 4 people who search alot 4 it and compare it with others the ones with pic speak more 2 your attention ( at least it does 2 me )

Gallery Featured = but what this = i still dont know exactly

Homepage Featured = sometimes being displayed on startup page off ebay.com 4 example

is it that when its a featured listing or homepage featured that you have to select galary featured INSTEAD off the normall galary? since its double on page or on front homepage?

ah, i see, ok, not important 2 me then, galary featured 2 expensive & not really necissary in my opinion then, then its a bit again what u said & all that its gonna be on top & all, a bit waste off money in my opinion i think, but then again, i dont sell many items over a price off $ 100, usually under $ 10 and some under $ 50

Ok...maybe that's just the Gallery View equivalent of the Featured Plus listing... It costs $19.95 anyway...

So if you like me and selling mostly inexpensive things, you're really not going to pick it anyway...

most effective & best things to sell are alot off cheap items with double shippingcosts, u can make some profit with high priced expensive items offcourse, but you won't sell that often & when you compare the 2 with eatch other its is better to sell alot off cheap items then 1 expensive items, the costs of galary featured would be to high i think then, the normall galary i still use for some items though, but thx 4 your help

i know now what gallery featured is, i came across a listing like that yesterday.

when you search for something, u get a bunch off searchresults, the ones with galaries have pics, the ones without not, when u select galery featured then when you hover or click your mouse on the pic off a galary then that pic is maximised, i have screen set on 800x600 and on my comp that doesnt look good unfortunately, it fills up your screen that way, i dont particularly like it, but i guess others do, its not a part off featered plus as i originally thought
