I am a born and raised west-coast girl, stuck here in the middle of Colorado where all the "fresh" seafood is sold out of dingy vans on the side of the street.

Ah...fish, near and dear to my heart. Anyone ever have fresh pan fish from an icy lake--actually frozen?? Sunfish are the best, sweet meat.
I grew up ice fishing with my father. I went ice fishing before I ever fished from shore or from a boat. Alas, I'll never know the sweet taste again. Several years back, as an adult, I developed a severe allergy to all fish.
Sigh... Walleye... Friday fish fry... I've got nothin'. And I can't eat meat on Fridays during lent...
