OK, how do we do handling charges in Auctiva where they don't show up to the buyer?

Hidden charges are against eBay policy and can lead to suspension of your account! You can use combined shipping and handling. Lets say it is going to cost you 3 dollars in shipping and 1.50 in packaging and handling. Set your shipping & handling to $4.50. I am unfamiliar with Turbo Lister but I am positive it does not hide handling charges from the buyer!
Hiding Handling charges is not against any rules that I am aware of. You can display it seperate or combine it all with the quoted shipping charge, wheather it be Flat or Calculated. I do it all the time and its built right into Auctiva.

I'm not sure where Hidden Charges came from? I'm sure that is against the business ethnic code no? Saying something is $19.95 + $4.95 S&H and then when the customer gets the final invoice its $19.95 + $4.95 S&H + $10.00 Customer Appreciation Fee probably would not be allowed. Smile

But you are under no obligation to share with a customer what your 'Handling' costs are.
OK...let me clarify....when I put in the handling charge in Ebay Turbo....it just "Adds" it to the cost of the shipping and says, shipping and handling. On the Auctiva site, it says, $4.00 Shipping + $1.00 for handling. Does that make more sense? SO, is there anyway to get it to not say the + $1.00 and just say $5.00 for shipping?

Definitely not allowed! I had this happen to me twice as a buyer and reported both sellers.
Also you cannot charge afee for accepting PayPal or credit cards.
All charges must be upfront and reasonable.

Right. But when you enter the handling charge in the proper field either in Auctiva or Turbo Lister, it doesn't show up to the buyer as a handling charge. For example, if I input $2.00 into the handling field, and the actual shipping is $5.00, it's going to show up to the buyer as $7.00. The buyer isn't going to know how much you're charging for handling.
I can relate to Bailey's frustration. I have been selling for several years and just yesterday Auctiva started having issues with Shipping input when working on a listing. I filed a support request and was told that they knew they had a glitch and were working on it. Today, when I start to do new listings, ALL sorts of new fields popped up when I clicked on shipping detail. Plus, when you Preview your listing (with both First Class and Priority), the handling charge DOES show...unlike what it did a few days ago. I'm a little hesitant to post these listings, as I don't feel comfortable with the Previews. Has anyone contacted Support today about these issues? What's popping up today is different from the problems of yesterday. Thanks for any input!
