I have contacted support but thought I would see if anyone here can help while I am waiting. I have had 2 listings today that have not posted due to an API error saying "eBay has not posted your item due to title, description, and/or eBay policy violation. Please contact Auctiva support for more information on why your listing has failed to post" but those same listings I have been posting for months with no problems? Am I missing some big change that would cause me to be in violation of something? I have also run an error check on both listings and they both say "error check passed"....HUH? Any help would be appreciated, cheers Deb

Hi Deb,

The aforementioned error is returned when eBay rejects a listing due to an error that is not saved in our system. When you receive a response to your support request, you should be advised of the exact error message that was returned by eBay, and that should point you in the right direction. These errors can be related to account limitations and various other things, so they are not necessarily indicative that your listings are configured incorrectly.

Any additional questions or concerns? Please contact our customer support team using the appropriate link on our help page, http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx, and we'll do our best to help you out.

I have also had this happen twice for the same item. I was sent the full message from Auctiva telling me ebay wanted my paypal to be linked to my ebay account so that I could sell internationally. (It already is linked and verified!) And I have been listing successfully for several months, selling internationally with similar items using the exact same info for everything else. I have changed nothing, but suddenly I am being rejected. The error check was also successful. Has ebay suddenly made some rule changes we are not aware of? Or is there some kind of fault here.
I was having trouble last night trying to list an item on ebay also, I was getting an API error telling me I HAD to accept paypal or credit cards as a payment method, so I contacted ebay's live support and talked to a rep. there, I was told ebay has a new rule put into effect on Jan 17 2007 any new members have to include paypal in the listed item for sale as a method of paying, but they don't even hold to their own rules, it says NEW members, I have been a member since 2004, I usually don't like to take paypal because their fees are to high, but I think its just a way for ebay to help paypal generate revenue, I don't like it at all. If your not including paypal in the listing that might be why.
