Help. Afraid to sign into ebay. Guard green but....

Hi Sweetie, Check to see if the sign in looks like this https://signin.ebay.com/ it has to look exactly like that to be the original site of sign in. any other characters added or missing is a fake ebay address. Hope this helps. Big T

I do have the (I think) correct https sign in only this is uK so it's 'co.uk' not com - after that, there's a string of characters but I think that's normal....just can't understand why I'm getting the warning box about my information being sent to another site when the account guard is green...the address in the toolbar is ok..have sent a mail to ebay but probably take a few days to get a reply, in the meantime, I'm sat here! I've looked at the community boards on ebay uk and don't see anything nor here either. Thanks again and good morning to you

Have you tried logging into the eBay forums instead (the Community link)? Try that and if you don't get that same warning then post about it on there and maybe somebody will know about it.

I've never been to the UK forums but if you don't seem to get much help try the forums at ebay.com too (Technical Issues and/or Seller Central are probably the boards to look for).

Hello Rick, yes i posted and got a very quick response which is more or less saying ebay toolbar is full of spyware (implying it could be it causing the problem0 but if the icon is Green and the site address is correct , then should be ok. So have taken the plunge, signed in and hoping for the best! thanks for your suggestion, much appreciated.

you should probably not be licking on any link if your ebay toolbar is warning you not to. Might I simply suggest you type into the address field instead www.ebay.com etc etc

I really like Auctiva, but, at times, I wonder if it is worth it. I am trying to list---Just listed a Kasper Suit. It saids that it is posting to eBay but I have been waiting for 7 minutes. I don't want to click post again as then I could have 2 of the same items and have to cancel one, but, still pay the Insertion and Gallery fee.
