Hi, think of them as an aid to constructing a listing.

You can create a listing from scratch for one item, then use it as a basis for another and so on.

What profiles do is expand on this by allowing you to create predefined custom building blocks for postage, details etc. You can then bring them together in appropriate combinations for a group of items lets say shirts with low p&p to suits with higher p&p as master profiles.

Then when you want to create a listing for a shirt you do so starting from a shirt master profile (instead of an existing listing) by adding in the the description and image of that particular shirt.

The benefit becomes apparent when you are listing many items of varying type. Smile
