Hi there,
I am a newbie (sorry) and while I think auctiva is HEAPS better than my rather temperamental turbo lister, I am struggling to revise the item description of a listed item... I have tried to revise it both in ebay and auctiva but to no avail.
Any help would be great!

Hi merri,

....and welcome to the Community.

Revising the description section does take some finess. I've done it many times using the ebay Revise Listing method.

Can you provide a link to the active listing on ebay and the exact changes you want to make, and I or other experienced member can provide instructions or suggestions.

One quick tip is to use the Auctiva one-page lister to get the description exactly correct, then use the "Get HTML" icon on the Saved Listings page to cut and paste the code to the ebay Revise Listing editor. Use the ebay Revise Listing Preview to check the changes are correct before you submit the changes.

I see the discrepency. You have Size 28 in the auction title, but down in the text it's Size 30 (2nd line below description header).

You really don't need to make that correction from Auctiva. Simple text changes to description are best done using the ebay Revise listing feature.

To make that change use the ebay Revise Listing from the listing page (on ebay) and locate that "30" in the description section. Just edit that 30 to a 28 and follow steps to complete and submit the revisions. Note, I always Preview my changes before I complete, just to double-check.

That should do the trick! Wink

Hi the above is ONE of the listings - I want to change the shipping information, which I thought I did earlier but apparantly not. I copied the HTML from Auctiva and then pasted it into the Listing - changed the info and when I previewed it it showed 2 templates. It showed the Auctiva stuff above where I entered the HTML into the Ebay HTML Box. If that makes sense.
If you simply want to change the text under the heading SHIPPING, you only need to edit/type in the correction in the Description section using ebay's Revise listing. If you copy ALL the HTML code from Auctiva again, you would have two complete copies of the code at ebay, which you don't want to do for a simple text change.

I'm seeing the following text under SHIPPING in the Pink area at bottom:

Shipping will be recorded within 2 days. Usually, this will be delivered Next Day.

I assume that's the shipping info you want to update or revise. That is in the Description section, so just locate and do simple text change with ebay Revise listing (no HTML copy needed).
