Help with already listed items - backgrounds

Can anyone tell me if you can change a background of already listed items that have more than 1 day to go or no bids left?
i have had lots of suggestions to change them as dial up cant take the flashy backgrounds very well, and i didnt think of this b 4 i listed.
Not many responses or watches now with the flashy backgrounds, compared to when i listed similar items with a plain background.
Can anyone help please.I have alot of listings to do thanks

If by background you mean template the best way I could suggest would be:

To quickly update the background of an existing listing, here's what I do:

1] Click update listing in the listing that I need to update.
2] Click the HTML tab in the editor window.

The WYSIWYG version will have removed your <body> tag - no prob though.

3] At the top of you HTML add <body background="http://www.your image here/1.gif">
4] At the end add <body/>

There's no need to add anything else. Just know that if you switch away from the HTML tab view, you will have to do this all over again.

5] Save.
