Hi all,

The way I do my listings is, I type my descriptions out onto Word and then copy and paste them into the description box. For some reason this time when I do this and save the listing it doesn't save the one I copied, but the previous description. I did about 20 listings before I realized this, so I am a little frustrated. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

Hi modestmouse,

Word inserts HTML control characters and sequences of characters that are not recognized by browsers and therefore make the formatting look all messed up, or do other funky, undesirable things.

We don't recommend creating your descriptions in Word, or if you do, that you first paste the item description that you you created in Word into a pure text editor like Notepad, and then copy from NotePad into Auctiva. Doing this will strip out the undesirable HTML that Word has added to your item description.
