Help with revising ALL my listings

one way would be to make the changes in ebay using the revise listing tool (drop down). I am not sure that you can bulk edit a word but at least you don't have to end them and start them again.

its a manual process but you could certainly get it done in a week without ending active listings.

Thanks, but that tool won't work on fixed price listings that have already had a sale...it blocks out the title of those listings so I can't make any changes without ending it and relisting....

I know you are mad as HECK. If there is a bright side to this let me give it to you. The OLD ebay use to just "END" ALL of the listings and send you a SNOTTY note like you had murdered your mother, with threats of shutting you down. When they shut you down you could not just go in and fix them, they totally disappeared, period, so you started at scratch. This was before I started using auctiva so was a major pain. So they have toned it down by calling and giving you time.

But to the SUBJECT:
I have not used bulk change in awhile.
Try this if you have not already. IN AUCTIVA
go to these:
SAVED LISTINGS
ACTIVE
CHECK BOXES OF ITEMS YOU WANT CHANGED (you can check all by top box) **HOWEVER**** I would do one or two and check it first to make sure it works right)
above check box you will see BULK REVISE CLICK IT

Takes you to drop down on REVISE LIVE LISTING PAGE
Drop down menu next to word "FIELD".

Find TITLE drop down if that is what you are looking for and go from there.

IF you are looking for DESCRIPTION go from there and fix.

NOTE:::::: THIS ONLY CHANGES ACTIVE LISTINGS IN EBAY.
YOU WILL NEED TO GO INTO AUCTIVA CHANGE SAVED LISTINGS IN ORDER TO GET THOSE FIXED. IF YOU WANT THEM CHANGED.
AGAIN, IT DOES NOT CHANGED THE SAVED LISTINGS****

Unfortunately, it looks like the bulk edit tool doesn't work quite like that anymore...

It just asks me for a "find and replace" - but I really need to reword my listings, so find and replace won't do it for me...

Hi that should work. IF it does not I would sure push support for answers as to why it will not. NOW.. you may have to go in and take out whole sentence and put it back in as whole sentence, for it to look exactly right.

I know about a yearish ago I tried to use and could not get it to work exactly right because of some screwey HTML? code. But used a couple of times since and it worked.

One other thought. thinking out loud. You could start ending all of your listings as they are coming up to end, leave others on during week so you have SOMETHING listed and then you are not under the gun with ebay deadline??? Obviously before end of week end all of them.

Such a pain in the BUTT!!!

Yep, that's what I'm doing. I'm ending about 20 at a time, fixing those, relisting them, then moving on to the next 20...I should have them all done in a week, barring any life emergencies, lol!

Katie.. good luck. I had to do that with about 1,200 listings when ebay made us take insurance blurb out. They would not edit in bulk editor because of HTML screwy code. I was steaming mad for sure.
