P.S. Happy Spring to you! It is 80 degrees this weekend in my part of the state...yep, from 30 to 80, as per usual!!

Hi Deb,

You need to login to your account at hotlinkfiles and check what's up. One site requirement is to login every 30 days to maintain a free account (see FAQs), but they send reminders before they delete an account. It's also possible your limit has been reached on free use (unless you have a paid account).

The New Design listing page design might work better with long narrow banners to go with placement of the Store strip above the banner or an inclusion to augment that section. I'm looking (again) at the implications of that 3rd round of design that hopefully is a final.

I didn't create a hotlinks acct...at least I don't remember doing it... I thought that was something you did!

but, I am just going to remove the banner from my listing template, so if I post the code on practicewrite, would you please remove everything that has to do with the banner at the top of the template?

Hi,

Didn't realize you hadn't switch-over to using your own account. Just tried accessing mine, and there may be a site problem. All of my files are gone (or the site is malfucntioning and they don't show). Tried checking a friend's listings, and her music isn't playing in her Store. Hers is a subscription/paid account, so that's a tell there may be a true outage as cause.

Hi Deb,

hotlinkfiles is back up today. Apparently, it was a either a site-wide or very wide-spread member outage. My friend's music in her store is back. I just checked my account and your shockwave file isn't stored in my account. I do see that your listings have the banner restored, so I'm guessing you took my advise for them as one of several possible hosting sites last fall and opened an account. They disallow multiple free accounts with one member by tracking the member's IP address, so I'm almost 100% certain I didn't open the account for you.

Edit: I located the discussion thread where you created the hotlinks account and posted the URL for .swf file in the Forum. Looks like you opened the account on November 17th last year.

Oh my! I have absolutely no recollection of opening a hotlinks acct...will try to sign in tomorrow...thing is, I had to have my puter wiped (again) due to a virus, so I don't have a login, pw, etc. but I will check it out tomorrow.!
