Thanks for your response.
I don't have a store. I choose the "Customize an Auctiva Template" link and work in the "design editor" mode. I've created profiles so those show up in my listing but I want to be able to intersperse text among the images rather than have all of the description on top then all of the pictures below. I mostly sell clothing lots so there can be quite a few pics.
Hi lexi,

You can accomplish this by using the "Customize an Auctiva Template" feature on our website. In order to modify one of our templates to use a custom image arrangement, please log into your Auctiva account and select Listings(tab) -> Customize an Auctiva Template. Then choose the template you would like to modify from the template list and click "Go". This will take you to the template editor page.

Then, click "Switch to Design Editor" above the template editor. Under the heading description, you will see a template tag that reads [DESCRIPTION_AND_IMAGES]. Delete this template tag and and put a [DESCRIPTION] tag in it's place by placing your cursor in the appropriate place and clicking the "Description" link on "Custom Template Tags" menu on the left hand side of the page. This is where your description will appear within your template.

Next, you will want to specify where the images are to be placed within your custom template. To accomplish this, add the appropriate image tags to your template by placing your cursor where you would like each image to go, and clicking the "Image 1", "Image 2", "Image 3" links etc. on the right hand side of the page until you have added as many image tags as the maximum number of images you'll use in a listing. Once you have done this, name your custom template, and click "Save as New" at the bottom of the page.

You will then be able to locate this template in your Auctiva template library under the category "Custom".

If anyone is interested, the solution is to upload your images straight into the description area. To do this use "freetiva" by clicking the button in the toolbar of the description editor that has an icon of a mountain and sun on it (next to user links.) It takes you to your image folders.

After the image uploads, you need to just place the cursor just below it and type in the text you want. You may need/want to resize your images.
yes, yes....that's right *lexi*....

all you need to do is ADD your photo's in the actual LISTING itself using the little "landscape" picture icon...when you are in the "design editor" of your listing TEMPLATE, you can only add 1 DESCRIPTION box so that won't work for what you're wanting to do and depending how many photo's and descrip's you actually may need will give your live auctions all sorts of "big spaces" if you don't use as many photo/descrip spots if you mess with the template...

so when you are working on making a TEMPLATE "your own"...just add your store/ebay name at the top (if you want) or leave the templates alone if all you require is the description under the photo feature...you can easily do all that directly in the LISTING template.

good luck! Big Grin

cheers,
