Frown i'mtrying to hide AUCTION items from my ebay store by using "not an ebay store item" option when listing an item in Auctiva. will this option hide them from customers as I am intending or will it simply put it in the "other" category of my ebay store?
Thanks in advance for any help

thanks for your help. I know your busy updating the server. I think your guys service rules. My brother a cpu tech was telling me to be cautious of anyone offering a free services cause most will sell your email address and spam you and that sort of thing. Well after checking your site out for a month he's finally convinced that you guys are a rare breed and a great service as do I. Keep up the good work and the server I don't know what you guys are workin on but the site speed has improved 200% so thanks again.
I have been with Auctiva ahile now, but I just opend my ebay store and cant quite figure out how to list with auctiva and put in ebay store. Or can I not do that? I have done a relist and put it in the store, and auctiva auction backgrounds and all were there... great!
Or do I just list store items thru ebay??

Thank!
Rhonda
At the top of the lister page you can choose from the three listing types:

Sale Type: Auction Fixed Price Store Item

If you have an ebay store, EVERYTHING you list under that account after the store is opened will go into your store. Auction and fixed price listings appear in general searches, browsing categories on the main site, etc. Store listings don't have as much visibility. But the way that EBAY is setup, all of your listings appear in your store. No Auctiva setting can change that.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have an account set up now at Auctiva and an ebay account. To date, I buy and sell stuff not in a store. I have a feedback of over 120.

When I set up a store does that require a new ebay and Auctiva account and I then start from scratch with Feedback 0 ? Or can I just convert my existing accounts to store accounts ?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Thanks,
Steve

Depends on what you sell, and what kinds of fees you want to pay. I have an eBay store with lots of store-listing items, plus I do auction-listing items (which also show up in your eBay store.) Fixed Price-listings are searchable as if they were an auction-listing, and they also show up in your eBay store.

Having an eBay store does not limit how you can list your items. Auction, Store, and Fixed Price are still avialable to you to use, and every listing will show up in your store.

I use auction listings as a way for buyers to find my store, and to get a good price (I hope!) on items that I know have a big demand. On occasion I have put something up for auction, gotten no bids and the auction closed, and then put it as a store listing at a much higer price and it sold! Big Grin

Sometimes I put something in my store, it sits there for months without anyone noticing, so I'll put it up for an auction listing, and often it gets bids and is sold.

Also, you have to weigh the various eBay fees against the market demand at the time.
