How do I sucessfully update my email address

At wits end!!! My eBay email address has been changed. Trying to change it in Autiva. Gone to MY ACCOUNT - it shows my old email address and 2 boxes for putting in the new one (1 for new email and the other is to retype to confirm new address. EVery time I am told "This email address has already been registered" HOW/WHEN???? Especially when I log out, the re-log in - the account details still show my OLD EMAIL address!!!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!!

Any chance you have more than one Auctiva account and the other account already is setup with that Email address?
