Welcome, I could as a very satisfied user be evangelistic but if you look in Auctiva's 'About Us' section or glance at other posts you will see why it is free.

Auctiva has no trial period, Sellethon does on their statistics tool but this is not esential but can be useful.

Fees, in the future, who knows, Auctiva's CEO does not intend to at present, see recent posts by 'Auctiva Jeff' for confirmation. Smile
Free sites generally make their money through advertising. Myspace, youtube, and bebo are all totally free and therefore millions of people sign up to them. So they now have a huge number of people they can directly advertise to and generally they know these peoples details so can tell the company who wants to advertise exactly what age range and profile they are advertising to.

So the free website can go to someone who wants to advertise and say: i have so many users on my site every day, put an advert or pay-per-click banner on my page and may me for it. And that is how myspace, and all the other free networking sites end up making millions. I guess auctiva hopes to grow and grow and then they can charge more and more for the adverts they let onto their pages.

Does this help?
