How to remove old titles from drop down menu for categories?

Are you talking about your eBay store? If so, update your eBay settings.

Go to My Account. It's in the right column, then Update Store Categories From eBay.

You should be good to go. Unless of course, you're talking about something else.

thanks! but i am talking about the listing categories above the store drop down menu. I have used a category once 6 months ago and it still is in my list(drop down menu)there are 20 such listing categories I wish to remove or even move to the bottom. As it stands now I have to scroll way past the ones I never use to get to the ones I use alot.

When you click on the arrow to bring down the list. Put your curser over a line in the list (do NOT click) while it's highlighted, click on your delete button. You can do this until they are all gone. That's what I do, and I empty it out ever week or so. Hope this helps.

i guess my delete button is outdated. it does not work the way you suggested.The highlighted area just sits the when i hit the delete button! anyone else make this work? thanks

We don't currently offer any functionality that can be used to remove categories from the "Recently Used Categories" menu on the lister page within your Auctiva account. However, as you list in more and more categories, the old categories on this list will be replaced with the newer ones.

PS: The solution offered by "ladyfalcon" earlier in this thread doesn't work on my system either but, since she reported that it works for her, I suppose it's worth a try.

It would be a great assistance if Auctiva would enable us to remove old categories. I have dozens and rarely use them and it is a royal pain to scroll through looking for what I do use. The delete button does not work for me either. I have no idea what the poster who used it is talking about.

There should be a way to fix this in our settings or profiles. I really only need 5 or 6 on a regular basis and they are interspersed with dozens of categories that I used once and may never use again. We should at least have the option of saving them or not.
