I have never been so frustrated with Auctiva. I spend a lot of time entering my item's description. Set the sizes of the fonts, the colors of the fonts, the spacing, the formatting, etc., just the way I want it to look. Then when I go to preview the page, everything looks different than what I specified. I go back, redo it, and the same thing happens. Is anyone else having the same problem? And if so, how do I prevent it from happening?

Hi,

Unfortunately, Word and other word processing editors produce markup language code that's not 100% compatible with standard HTML and will corrupt the page. Auctiva's editor is spotting the corruption and trying to correct the code, resulting in those loses you noted. I've seen the problem reported many times by other Community members. It's why I asked.

Your best bet is to use a standard text editor like Notepad, and copy the text to the Auctiva HTML editor. Then add the formatting. You could use a real HTML editor and copy - paste the code. You code also try saving the Word processing document as an HTML document (might work OK).

Thanks, Danno. I also get the same problem when I get some information sent to me by email, then I copy the stuff from the email and paste it into Auctiva. I use Microsoft Outlook. I hate to retype everything I get from many sources, so I thought I could just copy and paste. I will follow your advice now that I know what could be the problem.
