I'm sick of it. And the error messages are not even true. Seems I get one error message for every item I list!

Example:

The dimensions you entered are too large. Please check the dimensions of your package.

They are not! I just rechecked on feebay and my largest dimension is 27" inches. I also got this same error on a large basket I am shipping. I put these dimensions into the 'oversized package' fields so they will calculate the correct shipping. Why would I be told what size MY package is? How does THEIR computers know MY size?

Vintage ABC's Alphabet Child's PLATE W.E.P China DUTCH -- Your Item Specifics ("2919") do not match the category you selected.

Why NOT? I have this under POTTERY & GLASS/POTTERY/CHILDREN'S POTTERY. Custom specifics I have as plate/pottery/vintage, so what's the problem?

Others:

The value "Used" provided for Item Specific "Condition" is not valid and was dropped from the listing.

Category 20550 uses a different Item Specifics format. Your Item Specifics have been converted to the new format.

Please verify you're complying with foreign selling laws, which can restrict sales of authentic products.

Your Item Specifics ("2919") do not match the category you selected.

WHY DOES AUCTIVA EVEN LET US ENTER INFORMATION IF IT WILL NOT COMPLY W/ EBAY'S COMPUTERS? I WOULD BET THAT EVERYTHING THAT HAS AN API ERROR GETS "PUSHED DOWN" IN SEARCHES SO YOU WILL GET ZERO BIDS OR AT LEAST LESS BIDS ON THESE ITEMS.

Sorry about your frustration. Unfortunately, we do not have control over the API error messages that eBay returns.

Actually, the messages you mention here are just "warnings" sent from eBay, not actual errors--they do not prevent the listing from getting posted.

I wish there was a way for us to "know" in advance every detail that could trigger an API warning or error message from eBay, but there just isn't Frown
