I have spent 3 full days preparing listings & have over 120 scheduled to start today from 5.30pm GMT... but so far only 10 out of at least 45 have appeared.. HELP? What can I do? Should I go back into each scheduled listing & instead of using the 30 minutes retry schedule go for a longer reschedule period of time? I am so devastated to think I could have spent so many hours for no result??! Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Your post isn't real clear on what's happening but there are a few things you can try...
Do an error check on every listing. (Do you mean that the scheduled time has gone by and the listings haven't posted yet?) If that's the case, switch from schedule and post them manually. Check the top of your page for EVENTS..if there is a red number there, that means there was something wrong with the listing and it didn't post. It will give you the reason, as will Error Check.
If possible, can you give more specific details here? I can't think of anything else without knowing what you've already done...hopefully one of the above suggestions will help you Smile
Hi 8880, Thank you for your help & advice. Yes, I did mean that the scheduled time had gone by - well over an hour in most cases. A few that were scheduled did get there, about a dozen or so, but even then they were arriving a lot later than scheduled.
I had error checked all of the listings before I scheduled them & all got the OK. After receiving your advice I watched & waited for approximately another 1/2 hour & still my scheduled listings weren't moving on time, ony a few were being listed but even those were going in much later than scheduled. I took your advice & listed manually having to cancel the scheduling as I went along.
It was a long hard haul as I'd been working since 8am in the morning hence a working day of a continuous 16 hours. The outcome is that my original plan to have my items for sale appear in a specific time scale order (for instance not to have all the same size garments go through at the same time to make it easier for bidders who wanted to bid for more than one of my items) went out the window. I'm disappointed & that all my concentrated effort & hours of organising didn't go to plan but I would like to thank you very much indeed for your help. Without it, having very limited experience on Auctiva so far, I wouldn't have known how to rectify the situation in time. The way it was going my listings scheduled for 8pm may well have ended up appearing in eBay at 1am the next morning, or later, or never!
Again, my thanks & very best wishes to you. Siggy.
Hi Mike, Thank you for your reply.
Surely if eBay were rejecting my listings then I would have received some form of notification from the Auctiva site, if not from eBay?
As it happens I had forgotten to add Paypal to one listing of jewellery & I did receive notification/explanation from Auctiva on that. Once I added Paypal I posted the listing manually without a problem. All the listings that I did end up having to post manually yesterday evening were accepted & appeared almost immediately in my eBay items for sale. After the frustration of yesterday & with no one being able to give me a reason why the scheduled items were delayed and/or never reached their destination doesn't exacty make me feel fully confident to schedule & not sit there watching to make sure all goes as per-schedule? It was a cheap listing day on eBay UK yesterday & I wonder if the systems could have been overloaded? - But if that's the case how would my listings have appeared as quickly when manually listed. I really don't understand? Hopefully it was only little gremlins in the works. Thanks, Siggy.
Hi Siggy,
Glad it all worked out for you (well sort of) Frown
Use the link that Mike gave you and explain again what had happened...I'be been scheduling with Auctiva since 2006 and have only had one small problem, long ago. Normally it's a very smooth, easy, and precise process.
Ebay is trying to get everyone to take Paypal now, in fact I thought UK sellers were REQUIRED to take PP per a new policy? That could very well have something to do with it. If you are a relatively new seller, I believe you need at least 100 FB in order to omit PP. (At least here in the U.S.) Since all your error checks came back ok, I can't really think of anything else. Maybe take a look at Ebay announcements, even the archived ones and see what it says about PP. Best of luck in the future Smile
Hi again, My seller ratings are almost 1000 on eBay but I am very pleased to say I have discovered what caused the problem because it was niggling away at me & it occurred to me that if this was a general problem other Auctivians from the UK would have had the same problem.... OK ... & please feel free to laugh Smile... Here in the UK we have something you don't have across the big pond in the USA & that is British Summer Time or daylight saving.. & dumb-dumb here hadn't realised that I had to set my account tabs to accomodate the hour's difference. Red Face That's me with a very embarassed face by the way. LOL!
I've make the change now, did a schedule & it left when planned.
So all's well that ends well & I've learned quite a bit more about Auctiva today having a read around the various forums.. Have a good weekend & Best Wishes from dumb-dumb here in the UK! Siggy.
