I just can't get this to work--I've watched tutorials, etc.

I believe I know what you are trying to do so I hope this helps you out.

Up at the top of your screen in Auctiva there is a tab for "profiles". You want to go there and create a "seller profile". Basically this will allow you to enter your payment, shipping, terms of sale, contact us and about us sections with the standard details that you would use for each of your auctions. Once you have done this and saved the "seller profile" there is a drop-down menu to the right of where you choose your template in the create new listing screen under the listings tab. You will want to select the seller profile that you have created and saved under the profiles tab and then each of those fields will show-up with the information on your template.

Profiles are great since they allow you to avoid having to re-type all of the same information everytime you create a new listing.

Thank you for your prompt response--it is greatly appreciated and very easy to follow! I have accomplished that, now I just don't understand how to get my pictures to download into the listing and how I can described each photo individually. Thanks again!

I have always added them through the "image selection" section of the create new listing page. However, if you want to actually put a description below each image you can add the images directly into you "item details" section. There is a icon that looks like a little square picture with some mountains that you need to click on and this will allow you to add the pictures directly into the item description section. Then you can add your description below the picture there and then click that little button and repeat the process for each picture that you have for your ad. If you look at the top bar of icons for the message board reply box where you pick bold, italics, font color, etc. that same "add picture" icon is there second to the last one just in case you aren't sure what it looks like.

By the way, if you just want to add the pictures to your ad and don't need to have the description directly below each picture then you can just click on "select an image" in the "image selection" section of the create new listing page. I'm sure you already know this but I just wanted to make sure.

I want to thank you sincerely for your help. I finally got my first auctiva auction posted on e-bay. Thanks for your help! I did add the descriptions directly in e-bay thought revise your auction as I could not find a way to do it correctly here. I guess I just don't understand this enough yet. I will keep trying though. As I mentioned before, when writing your item description you can click on the little box with the mountains and add a picture in the item description area which will allow you to put an item description directly below each piture you add.

Anyone creating profiles,make sure you turn these profiles in to Master Profiles,it saves a hell of a lot of time when listing.

All I do when I list,is to select my master profile,add a pic and description,item listed to ebay,this is a brilliant feature of Auctiva.

The icon button you want to click on to insert a picture is the one toward the bottom, not the one at the top, if you hold your mouse pointer over the one at the bottom, it reads "FreetivaImage", it is right next (to the left of) "UserLinks". You then select the pic you want to insert, it will put the pic wherever your blinking insertion point was at. Then you can add text below the pic. Take a look at one of my auctions and see if that is what you are looking for...
