Thanks for contributing to our forum. I do not know of a field labeled "Item Description" in the Custom Item Specifics area on the Auctiva lister page, but there are two fields labeled “Detail Name” and “Value” along the top of the interface that are used to create custom entries so I suspect you may be referring to those.
For example, if you wanted to indicate that the color of your item is red within the Item Specifics of your listing, you would enter “Color” in the “Detail Name” field and enter “Red” in the “Value” field, then click the “Add” button.
You should then your custom entry in list of Item Specifics below and the contents of the “Detail Name” and “Value” fields should be cleared. Those fields are only intended to add entries to the list below, so it is expected that nothing you enter in them would actually be saved in those fields.
