I've looked everywhere and can't find a way to do that. *ack!*

What I tend to do is create the listing in the editors design mode then switch to HTML mode and paste the custom URL into the appropriate place. (because I am not too good at HTML )

I can't seem to be able to do that manually.

Hi - You can edit your "avatar" pic on your edit member's profile page. Either choose one of Auctiva's pics or one hosted externally.

You should be able to display an externally hosted gallery pic by choosing "select custom" in the gallery image drop-down menu.

I *have* tried "select custom" -- I usually don't like to take anyone's time until I have spent some time trying to find or fix things myself. and I've looked at every option it seems --

Maybe I'm not making it clear. I just want to be able paste the url of my picture someplace.

for the gallery. In my descriptions, I just do the html code for large and small pictures myself. I've been doing that for 10 years now.

When I use the listing page, the only option I see is "upload images from your computer" or the directory of images already there. I JUST want to paste that URL somewhere. - For the GALLERY.

Do you get what I mean?

Yes, I do get what you mean. Unfortunately, my instructions were not quite complete and I apologize. Before you "select custom", you must choose the option to "host external images". Do this at the bottom of the image selection area of the lister page. Then the URL box will appear when you "select custom" in the drop down menu over the select gallery photo box. Sorry about that.
